Innovative Engineering in the Sky

Constructing pools above the main building slab came with formidable engineering demands. Each pool sits on acoustic isolation mounts to ensure no vibration travels through to residential floors. Seismic stability was non-negotiable. Our team developed a custom four-way lateral restraint system, complemented by large concrete isolation blocks for the lap pool, ensuring all structures remain steady and silent—even during extreme movement.

Harnessing Sustainability

Efficiency met innovation in the pool heating strategy. A water-to-water heat pump captures waste heat from the building’s cooling towers—repurposing it to keep pool temperatures consistent year-round. The system was tailored with custom pumps to manage high-pressure demands, requiring exacting coordination of volume and control across the entire hydronic network.

The lagoon pool’s sweeping curves were brought to life with laser-cut formwork and bespoke coping tiles, each one precision-made to echo the organic shape. A sheer descent water feature adds a tranquil visual cue, evoking a cascading pond effect—while its hydraulic system cleverly maintains temperature efficiency.

Safety and style were seamlessly merged throughout the design. From slip-resistant tiles and ergonomically placed seating to custom handrails and an integrated pool hoist, every detail was meticulously considered to comply with safety standards while preserving the resort-like feel.
