A sophisticated new arrival on Melbourne's eastern skyline, East Central Box Hill is a modern-day sanctuary and exclusive lifestyle destination. This luxurious indoor pool has been designed as a contemporary lifestyle statement that beautifully complements the building's overall style, which draws inspiration from Melbourne's vibrant culture and urban landscape.

When the original pool design failed to meet the visual aspirations of the developer and architect, our team of pool builders, engineers, and designers were brought on board by the builder to rethink the design to achieve the marketing and architectural aspirations.

The architectural design brief was brought to life by our team with a new way of thinking and innovative construction solutions. Various material elements, such as the glass mosaic tiles, were selected to fulfil the architects' vision of creating a luxurious, sophisticated space that brings the outside in.

Our team of construction professionals worked collaboratively with the builder to ensure every phase of the construction process was considered and effectively managed to perfect the balance between form and function.

An additional challenge was the need for more space allocated for the pool equipment and heating facilities due to a shared office and private apartment directly underneath the swimming pool. Our engineers and pool builders utilised innovative thinking and strategic approaches to mitigate this issue.

The design brief consisted of significant budget challenges, which were overcome with intelligent design solutions presented by our team at Aloha Pools. These solutions ranged from aesthetic solutions to filtration systems, smart temperature controls, and lighting solutions.

An outstanding design element of this pool is the large wall clock made of brushed metal that beautifully contrasts against the turquoise blue of the glass mosaic tiles.

The materiality utilised of glass mosaic tiles was chosen to suit the water's reflective nature and promote the dramatic interaction between the pool and the flanking garden-scape bringing the outside in.
